DeWitt Fire District proudly protects 9500 people living in an area of 10 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. A combination fire department that runs an average of 1,500 alarms a year. DeWitt currently employs 1 Fire Chief, 1 Fire Captain, 3 Lieutenants, 7 full-time Firefighters/Paramedics & Medics and 3 full-time Caretakers. The volunteer organization known as the DeWitt Fire Department, has 40 active members.
