We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. As an integral part of a fast growing community, the Keener Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. is utilizing every member to serve it's community. Recognizing the fact that fires are decreasing in quantity throughout the country, nearly 50% of the department have been certified as either EMT's or First Responders. The department feels this will increase preparedness for an ever increasing population, as well as improve the quality service that we strive to provide already.
