Damariscotta Fire Department proudly protects 2040 people living in an area of 12 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. Our job at the Damariscotta Fire Department is to answer fire calls as they come from the communications center. We don't do EMS calls and we are very limited on our Haz-Mat capibilities.
