About Dorcas Fire District:
Dorcas Fire District proudly protects 4000+ people living in an area of 76 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a small, rural volunteer department that provides fire protection to the residents of the Dorcas Fire District, which lies on the eastern side of north Okaloosa County Florida. We provide coverage for the major roadways of Interstate 10, Hwy 90, and Hwy 393 in north Okaloosa County. On January 3, 2005, we became a combination department with paid personnel on duty during the daytime hours. We recently recieved our new ISO rating of a Class 4/9. Thanks to all personnel that made this possible.
