South Lane County Fire and Rescue proudly protects 16305 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We cover a city population of 8.005 and a rural population of about 8,300. We provide ALS/BLS Ambulance Service for an area of 800 square miles and two other smaller communities in southern Lane County Oregon. We have 15 full-time staff with 26 volunteer personnel. Our Services to the public include, Fire and EMS Emergency response, Heavy Extrication, Steep Angle Rescue, Water Rescue, Limited Confined Space Rescue and other Special Rescue including four Tactical Paramedic's for the City Police Departments Special Tactical Response Team. We provide EMS Transport Response to Creswell Rural Fire District and Lorane Rural Fire District. EMS and Fire Mutual Aid response to Drain Rural Fire District, City of Eugene Fire Department and City of Springfield Fire Department upon request.
