About Whitman County Fire Protection District #14:
Whitman County Fire Protection District #14 proudly protects 650 people living in an area of 144 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Fire Dist. #14 is a very young Dept. It was established in the early 1980's. Fire Dist #14 services a strong farming community south of Pullman Wash. in the southeast corner of Whitman County. Our biggest fire threat is the canyon ground along the snake river and agricultural crops in the summer. We provide EMS services to the City's of Colton and Uniontown as well as our District. The Lewiston Fire Dept. (Lewiston Id.) provides our community with a paramedic ambulance service. The majority of our dept. members are either EMT,s or First responders.
