About Colonial Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad:
COLONIAL BEACH VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD proudly protects 12500 people living in an area of 40 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We currently have six advanced life support units, one ALS response unit,two water rescue boats. Currently have 30+ members with certifications from CPR to Cardiac Tech. We are currently seeking help if interested please contact our station and leave a message for the captain or membership chairperson. We have currently began a fee for service program due to the rising costs of equipment and medical supplies. Westmoreland county has now upgraded the radio system.The county has gone to centeral dispatch for fire and rescue. we are RESCUE STATION 1. We now have 2 paid personal for daytime hours 6a-3p m-f. one als provider,one bls provider. the volunteers respond with them to help if needed.
