About Colfax Volunteer Fire Department:
Colfax Vol. Fire Dept. proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 60 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Colfax Fire Dept. has 35 vol. members working both Fire and EMS calls for our community and also we provide Ambulance service for a near by town,we rely mostly on mutual aide from the surrounding towns for major fires and some resources.
