Clinton Fire Department proudly protects 3600 people living in an area of 37 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are a combination of paid and volunteer status. Clinton Fire department serves the small central Maine town of Clinton, Maine's Dairy Capital. Clinton lies along I-95 in Maine, north of Augusta and Waterville, and south of Bangor. CFD staffs its station 24 hrs a day with full time members who are cross-trained in both firefighting and EMS. The station houses a full time transporting ambulance which is licensed at the intermediate-EMT level and permitted to paramedic. While out on rescue calls, the station is manned by several on-call dispatchers, who donate thier time so that the Town of Clinton maintains coverage 24/7 in the event that Fire or Rescue and it's personnel are activated. Clinton Rescue has the distinct priviledge of serving as the primary backup for Delta Ambulance (a transporting service covering the greater Waterville, Maine area). CFD's volunteer firefighters are well trained and many are state certified firefighters. CFD maintains good relations with all neighboring fire departments and is always ready to lend a hand.
