About Cle Elum Fire Department:
Cle Elum Fire Department proudly protects 7000 people living in an area of five square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Cle Elum Fire Department was started in 1903. We provide Fire and EMS service for the residents of Cle Elum. We also provide back up EMS service for the hospital district. We are currently looking for property to build a new modern complex that will fullfill our needs for the next thirty years. It will have four drive thru bays, training facilities, office space and living quarters for six members. The planned completion date is 2003.
