About Tri-City Fire District:
The Tri-City Fire District proudly protects 8000 people living in an area of 18 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Tri-City Fire District is comprised of approximately 18 square miles and we also provide ambulance service coverage to 800 square miles in Southern Gila County. Established in 1922 as an all volunteer fire company, the District currently delivers fire and life safety services with a professional staff of 35 personnel. The District operates from 3 fire stations; one in Claypool, one in Central Heights and one in the Town of Miami. The District units respond to an average of 2300 calls per year for emergency and non-emergency services, serving a year round population of approximately 18,000 residents. The District provides a full range of emergency services which include certified paramedic services as well as a ISO Class 3 rated fire protection service for the Town of Miami. The District is a participating member of the Gila County Fire Chief's Association. The District nows provides ambulance transport to the residents of southern Gila County. The District personnel proudly serve areas of rich historic background as well as areas of modern development.
