The Wildcat Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects (seasonally) between 1000 to 4000 (estimated) people living in an area of Approximately 20 Very Mountainous square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Demorest Fire Department is your average small town department with three trucks 2pumpers 1 Heavy rescue we also have the Jaws of life and Hi pressure airbags.
