About Montana City Volunteer Fire Department:
Montana City Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2000 people living in an area of 35 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Montana City Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1979 by several concerned citizens. A 1956 Seagraves Engine, the departments first apparatus, was stored in a member's garage. After years of the efforts by the Members and the Board of Trustees, today the department is proud to say it has seven pieces of apparatus that are housed in two fire station. The Department continues to strive to bring the community, to which it serves, the finest protection possible.
