About Spokane County Fire Protection District # 3:
Spokane County Fire Protection District # 3 proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 560 square miles. We operate out of 10 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. District 3 covers 560square miles, and is responsible for all FIRE/EMS related emergencies within its boundaries. There are 10 stations, 25 pieces of fire equipment and approximately 115 fire fighters. There is a variety of topography covered in the district which covers wheatland/pasture/scattered homesteads/and timber. Part of the district includes trailer courts/manufacturers/ businesses/small unincorporated communities/ several railroad lines/and 20 miles of an interstate highway.
