We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status. Formed in 1957. Now have 37 members, Provide ALS and BLS service. Run between 450 and 500 calls per year. Station is staffed weekdays 7am to 5pm with three personnel. We have 7 medics,2 advanced, 20 EMTS, 8 Firefighters and one arson dog Kindle. First Volunteer Fire Department is Ohio to train and require all members to be 200 hrs fire trained. Established zoning requirement that any new subdivision install a pond and dry hydrant due to lack of municipal water system.
