About Calumet Volunteer Fire Department:
Calumet Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2000 people living in an area of 150 square miles. We operate out of One stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The volunteers of the Calumet Volunteer Fire Department respond without fail to everything from sigal 82's to high line poles struck by lightning. We cover roughly the western half of Canadian County, with the exeption of far southwestern Canadian County that is served by our good friends at Cedar Lake. Our relations with neighboring departments (Geary, Okarche and El Reno) make our department operate even more effectively than it could without their gracious assistance. We are constantly looking for a better way to do our job. We greatly appreciate any thoughts, suggestions and inventions of our fellow volunteers without whom we would be in a much worse state of affairs.
