About Mountain Springs Volunteer Fire Department:
Mountain Springs Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 1200 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Mountain Springs Volunteer Fire Department serves the Northwest Lonoke County area. We are currently working towards upgrading our department and attaining a class 7 or 8 ISO rating. Currently our money is generated from membership along with donations and Insurance money. In order to increase memberships, we have reduced our membership fees to $25.00 per year. Future plans call for a new a substation and more firefighting equipment.
