Home Atherton Fire Dept. proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our department protects mainly the south end of the Butte valley, along with primary response to the Bert Mooney Airport. We have been in service since 1948 and have presently 15 members. Most of our area is rural area and we assist other departments in our county.
