About Laramie County Fire District #6:
Laramie County Fire District #6 proudly protects 2300 people living in an area of 289 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Established in 1964, Fire District #6 serves the communities and surrounding area of Burns and Hillsdale, Wyoming in eastern Laramie County. The District is mostly range land, though there are several small communities and subdivisions scattered in the area. In addition to agricultural businesses, there is light industrial, transportation and oil/gas operations within the district. Fire District #6 responded to 103 calls in 1999.
