About Burns Volunteer Ambulance Servive:
Burns Volunteer Ambulance Service proudly protects 3700 (give or take) people living in an area of 564 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a small EMS service with 8 volunteers 6 of which are also on our local fire department (Laramie County Fire District #6). We are governed by a Board of 5 people, 1 of which is a Town Council liasion. We are a completely volunteer service with no charge to our clients. In cases where ALS service is required, we work with American Medical Response (AMR) in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We are funded by the Town of Burns, our generous friends and neighbors of the area we serve, with some emergency assistance from the Laramie County Commissioners. Thank You to all who donate money and supplies to our service. We appreciate the opportunity we have to work for the residents of Laramie County including the towns of Burns, Carpenter, and Hillsdale.
