About Bonner Springs Ambulance Rescue:
Bonner Springs Ambulance Rescue proudly protects 7500 people living in an area of 15 square miles. Our EMS was established in 1976 and was completely volunteer until 2001. Bonner Springs EMS has five paid staff and over 30 volunteers. We operate two units out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our city includes four major highways, a river, industrial buisness, 11,000 acre campground,summer concert ampitheatre, and host a yearly renaissance festival which brings in more than 200,000 people annually. Up to date training including extrication, BLS, ACLS, PHTLS and PALS are required and available for all staff. Our call volume consist of 700-800 emergency calls annually, no non-emergency transfers. We are proud to have a 4-6 min dispatch to scene time with six EMT-P, seven EMT-I D, three RNs and the rest of our staff being EMT and first responders.
