About Red Bird Vol. Fire and Rescue, Inc.:
Red Bird Vol. Fire and Rescue, Inc. proudly protects 8000 people living in an area of 250 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our department is located at the head of Red Bird River Valley near the community of Beverly, Ky. We cover areas located in parts of three southeastern Kentucky counties, Bell, Clay and Leslie. We have 17 members of which 9 are certified EMT's, and one paramedic student and one paramedic. We run a volunteer ALS ambulance service with two ambulances. Our staff consist of the EMT's which belong to the Fire department. We also serve as a distribution center for distributing excess equipment, which has been donated, to the surrounding fire departments.
