About Baxendale Fire Department:
Baxendale Fire Department proudly protects 1000 people living in an area of 91 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our Fire district has 400 residential houses, several businesses, and a water treatment plant in an urban/wildland setting of ponderosa pine and lots of fine fuels. A major 4 lane highway with a steep mountain pass runs through the middle of the district.
