Carlisle County Ambulance Service proudly protects 5500 people living in an area of 653 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. Our department provides Basic and Advanced Life Support for the entire county. The nearest hospital (of the three that we transport to) is 30 miles away, which creates a vital need for excellence in patient care. We have one full-time paid paramedic, and 15 EMTs, First Responders, and Paramedics who are paid per call.
