About Baker Fire District - Station 20:
Baker Fire District - Station 20 proudly protects 6000 people living in an area of 90 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Baker is located in Northwest Okaloosa County eight miles northwest of Crestview, the County Seat. We are bordered to the North by the Blackman Fire District, to the Southeast by the North Okaloosa Fire District, to the Southwest by the Holt Fire District and to the West by the Munsun Fire District in Santa Rosa County. We have Automatic Aid Agreements with all of these departments and will respond anywhere anytime to help someone in need. The Baker Fire District was born as the Baker Volunteer Fire Department in 1973. The Department name changed to the Baker Fire District when the district was created by referendum in 1981. The District has experienced steady growth since being created and looks forward to the new century ahead.
