City of Avon Park Fire / Rescue proudly protects 8800 people living in an area of 5.6 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. We are North of Sebring. Us and the City of Sebring Fire Dept are the only fulltime Career fire departments in the county. We are unionized under tha IAFF, allowing firefighters up to the rank of captains to be part of the bargaining unit. Our Dept consists of 1 Fire Chief, 3 Captains, 3 Senior Firefighters, 9 Firefighters,1 Fire Marshal and 1 Code Enforcement Officer, 1 Secretary.
