About Arco Fire Department:
Arco Fire Department proudly protects 2000 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Arco Fire Department protects the the City of Arco and its' 1100 residents. In co-operation with the Lost Rivers Fire District we provide protection for approximately 100 square miles of rural area surrounding Arco, serving an additional 1000 residents. We are a public department whose members are on an all volunteer basis. What wages we do receive from the City of Arco and the Lost River Fire District is used on community activities, i.e. 4th of July Fireworks, Santa Claus, and a Burn-out fund for fire victims.
