About Nantahala Fire & Rescue 3200:
Nantahala Fire & Rescue 3200 proudly protects 1500 people living in an area of 60 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our department serves a very rural area in the northwest corner of Macon County. Since our district is spread out and has a small population, we rely on donations from our community to help finance our needs. We are very proud to have such great community support. We also rely on donated equipment from other departments.
