We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. The Antioch Volunteer Fire Dept. was organized on March 13, 1912 by members of the community who each felt a duty to better serve the community in which they lived. In 1934, the members of the rural areas formed the First Fire Protection District of Antioch Township. The Fire Dept. was absorbed by the Village and became a government agency. Some funding for both of these agencies came from taxes collected but the greatest amount came from donations recieved through various fundraisers.
