Ansonia Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 5000 people living in an area of 35 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Ansonia Fire Department in Darke County Ohio was first started in 1884. At this time we operate out of 1 station with 4 peices of apparatus. We provide fire suppresion and first response on certain medical emergencies. Our members are all volunteer and we average 100 calls per year.
