About Lake Norrell Area Fire Protection District:
Lake Norrell Area Fire Protection District-Class 6 ISO- proudly protects 1400 people living in an area of 20 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Lake Norrell Area Fire Protection District is responsible for protecting the lives and property of our residents and neighboring communities via mutual aide with Salem and West Pulaski Fire Departments.We also have a Water Rescue Mutual Aid Agreement with Benton Rescue. In addition to our traditional fire protection role, LNAFPD is also responsible for disaster planning/response,HazMat support to Technician level, Search & Rescue[SAR],and fire safety inspections. LNAFPD is one of three departments in the county equipped and trained to respond to Open & Swiftwater Rescue and the only agency in in the county with a Fire Boat. LNAFPD offers a wide range of services & programs to our local community and our staff has been nationally recognized for our work in water rescue by the National Association for Search & Rescue [NASAR],USA TODAY Newspaper and members of our agency have been presented the NASAR Higgins & Langley Swift Water Rescue Citation.
