Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Boles Acres Fire Department serves the rural area south and southwest of Alamogordo in south central New Mexico. The Boles Acres Emergency Medical Service serves an area of about 80 square miles with a population of approximately 5000 people and also provides rescue, extrication and EMS for a 40 mile segment of US Highway 54 between Alamogordo NM and El Paso TX. Our staff of 25 volunteer professionals continually upgrade and refresh our training levels through county, state and national professional schools and courses. In addition to local emergency response, the Boles Acres Fire Department provides Automatic Aid to several fire districts south and west of Alamogordo NM.
